Ten Critical Employment Issues Every Employer Must Face - #4 More Vacation With Pay - 

Many employers in Ontario can look forward to seeing their vacation liabilities and accruals increasing by about 50%.  The Fair Workplaces, Better Jobs Act, 2017 proposes legislation providing that employees are entitled to three weeks of paid vacation after five years of service with the same employer.

If the proposed legislation passes, this proposal would come into force on January 1, 2018.

This is the Ontario Government’s way of saying “Happy New Year” to the voters!
